Can't believe 2010 is almost here, feels like only yesterday when I started applying to Semester At Sea and now in 2 weeks I'll be flying out to California and then embarking on a trip of a lifetime... wow. It's not going to hit me 'til I walk onto that ship. There's no turning back now!! My New Year's resolution is to roll with the punches, have fun, be open to new experiences, keep the ones I love dear close, and not be afraid to live a little!
"Life can be like a roller coaster... just when you think you've had enough, and your ready to get off the ride and take the calm, easy merry-go round you change your mind, throw you hands in the air and ride the roller coaster all over again. That's exhilaration, that's living a bit on the edge, that's being ALIVE."
Whatever is meant to be will work out perfectly!
Happy New Year everybody.

fml.
Sooo, when I went to plug in my charger to my laptop smoke started coming out of it... definitely not a good sign!!! Pretty much something blew in my computer so now it can't charge at all, tried other chargers too and utter failure. Sweet Christmas gift or what? 3 weeks 'til my trip and I kinda need a laptop!!! Gotta get a new one now, but I'm trying to look on the bright side: getting a new laptop will definitely be a plus and lucky it happened now rather than on my trip! It reminds me of a saying... "Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck." Hopefully!!! Have my fingers crossed.

Feliz Navidad
The most wonderful day of the year is finally here... Merry Christmas to all!!! Got some things for my trip, like a journal and travel toiletries galore. I leave in 3 weeks exactly, crazy. Been creating a packing list... these 3 weeks are going to fly by and I have a lot to do and people to see before I leave!
"Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just promised that it'd be worth it!"
I'm ready.

reality beginning to sink in...
So the other day look what came in the mail!

I bought a foreign currency package from SAS, which included a little bit of currency to each of the countries that we're going to... pretty cool!
Also bought some luggage for my trip...

I'm leaving in about 3 weeks or so and haven't even started thinking about what to bring and pack! This will be interesting...
This is going to be so surreal, it makes my head spin thinking that I'm actually doing this... cannot wait!!!
